STATE MARRIAGE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
FOR ARKANSAS
There is no waiting period in Arkansas.
No medical exam or blood test required.
You can obtain a license at any county clerks office.
Your Arkansas marriage license can only be used in Arkansas, but can be used in any Arkansas County regardless of which
county you purchased it in.
Generally, both applicants must apply in person together, but there may be exceptions to this requirement.
Both applicants must be at least 18 years old to obtain a Marriage License.
If under the age of 18, the male must be at least 17 years old and the female must be at least 16 years old and have parental
or guardian consent.
Parental or guardian consent generally must be provided in person, but there may be exceptions.
If either applicant has been married before, you may be required to bring Proof of Dissolution (Divorce).
The unsigned license is good throughout the State of Arkansas.
Once the unsigned license is issued, it is valid for 60 days and must be returned to the County Clerks Office, used or unused.
The cost of the marriage license is $58.00. Both parties will need a valid form of identification.

It is always best to check with the County Clerks office with any questions you may have concerning your marriage license. I
will be glad to furnish you with the phone number of the County Clerks Office that you will be applying for your marriage
license in, if you need it.
